Where to buy a used iPhone 4? (o2)

Without having phone insurance (foolish in hindsight) I had my phone stolen a couple of days ago. I still have 10 months remaining of my 2yr contract @ £30pm so instead of buying it out and getting locked into another 2year deal. I thought it would be best to buy another iphone 4 (or better) as I am already very familar with the email/apps (although I appreciate they are the costlier smartphones)

New is pretty costly, so I was looking for recommendations on where best to buy a used/refurbished iPhone 4? I only require it for 10months to which I will then sell on so thought used, if reliable, will suffice.

There are a number of choices, like forums you belong to (for instance, I belong to a photography forum that has a classified section that sees a number of phones offered), eBay, CEX, local classifieds (slightly risky though IMO).

I was actually in an identical situation as you - the cheapest option was to purchase an 'as new' secondhand replacement on a well-known auction site, which took me up to my date to cancel the original deal.

Having now bought an iPhone 5, my delightful 4 is going to be listed there once more. With the usual caveats, it it an excellent way to get up to speed when misfortune strikes!

I purchased a used IPhone 4 from ebay a couple of weeks ago. You will be able to find one locked to O2 no problem.

I found that by being fussy and very patient I was able to pick up an excellent condition 1 year old 32gb 4s model for £300.

  • You can buy a new Iphone from classified websites. These classifieds help you to get a phone of your choice that too at reasonable prices.
