Oh dear, I think I started a war

Thanks for all your help. I managed to pick up their catalogue today - I did have to flutter my eyelashes a little as they were hoarding them behind the counter! Not a huge discount really, makes it around the same price as DIY-Kitchens.

Still going to check out prices of Magnet and Howdens, but does anyone have an opinion on how Cooke and Lewis vs DIY are quality wise? C&L are now doing rigid carcasses (which seem to be the same price as their flatpacks) so there shouldn't be a difference in fitting cost.

diy-kitchen is a much better kitchen than cook and lewis. Also a lot better than howdens and magnet.

Thanks Steve, that's really good to know. We are many many miles away from their showroom although the sample doors turned up today and they do look very nice (and about twice as thick as my existing cheap ones!) so it's good to hear some opinions.

Howdens are poor quality Cooke and Lewis ate totally different to IT and manufactured in totally different places. Magnet are expensive. Tradepoint should be able to do you a deal though, always the vest to barter with
