Tick 'Android' in the 'OS' tab to filter, then sort by cost.
Beware that PAYG internet can be expensive and you'll have to think about a data-friendly tariff.0 -
Since this is one of the most expensive things you can do on a phone - start in reverse. Find out:
1) who provides good coverage in your area (actual, not predicted)
2) what are the rates charged per Mb of data when mobile?
When all the above is done;
3) Check the network offering (based on 1 & 2) and see what they subsidised costs are for PAYG (and as a last resort, contract)
4) buy your handset
As you can see, you're coming to a decision in the wrong order!0 -
hes got a sim already, which as internet, calls and text, but his last phone broke so now just wants a cheap one0

You can get phones which will access the net from as little as probaably £20 and smartphones from about £50.
you will need to consider exactly what your kid will use it for0 -
I got a nice T mobile vivacity a couple of months ago for £50. I unlocked it myself, but if you don't want DIY unlocking you can get unlock codes for about £5 on ebay.0

my DD has the LG Optimus L3, she uses it for internet, fb etc and its very easy to use. Carphone Warehouse handsets are generally unlocked I believe (the few we have had from there or talkmobile always have been).0
