For the early adapters what do you think of windows 8?

I bought the download for £24.99.
Went to install it on my 1 year old, pretty high specced latest generation Intel I5 laptop. Wouldn't install, just seemed to freeze upon set up after a few reboots.
Found out it doesn't like the Intel HD graphics on my laptop (an extremely common graphics solution on many laptops).
The solution, ridculously, you need to conmect an external monitor to the laptop, to be able to finish the set up as it sets the resolution during the installing to out of range of the laptop screen (my screen res is 1920*1080, so not exactly small to begin with).
After that, finally got it to load up. My resolution was poor, my Intel wireless internet wouldn't work (again an extremely well used type of wireless adapter found in many laptops) my 3G dongle wouldn't work either.
After mucking about with it and rebooting several times, it then decided to just keep reverting back to the log in screen, after I logged in.
My friend has exactly the same issues.
Needless to say, we have both now going back to Windows 7.
Reading around the MS/Windows forum, lots of people with issues upgrading from 7 to 8.
Beware if your laptop/computer has Intel HD graphics and/or Intel Centrino Wireless N technology in it, you could well end up with a whole heap of frustation and having to re-install your previous operating system.0
