Tesco Direct Collect @ Store warning

Just a heads up, Tescos new policy is to ship items to stores without being outer boxed or bagged up.

If you are collecting presents like my friend was last night, the kids saw there xmas presents from Santa , they also stick the large barcoded courier labels all across the items, not sure how easy they are to get off but could also ruin the packaging

Probably best going without kids if you are collecting presents.

I've collected two moisturisers and a mattress topper this afternoon, the moisturisers were in a box and the mattress topper had blue plastic wrapping.

OP, it doesn't seem to be all items?

maybe its just certain items then, they definitely said they had had a few items delivered without outer packing end of this week it started, some one was collecting items tonight , 2 leappad covers and they just had barcoded labels on them no packaging, it may be just trailing in certain areas

just a warning anyway if you have prezzies to collect

I ordered a Thule tow bar bike rack and it had the large label on it which was fine as it was longer than a trolley. The other items I collected were brown boxed.
    The man without a signature.
  • Amazon are doing this as well.

I ordered some stuff and it came in the manufacture's box displaying to all what it was and only had an address label stuck on it.

And I answered the door when the courier rang the doorbell.

Now I know what I have bought myself for Christmas so no surprise for me on Christmas morning.

What they do to cut costs is they put loads of items from many customers in a giant big box, then the staff at tesco have to open the big box to scan whats inside

Amazon have done this for a while. The barbie California dream house I ordered last Xmas came from them just in its normal box with the stickers on the side.
