Sold pram as pick up only; buyer wanted me to post, but too big?

I'd be careful just refunding.
Some buyers are rather dim, and don't understand why some (most!) people won't accept a courier on collection items.
You could send a cancellation, but if they refuse, then you'll still end up paying fees, and the buyer could leave you a neg.
I'd phone up ebay and tell them you have a buyer who has bought an item that is collection only, but won't collect, and see what they say.
There was a case on here though where someone did indeed manage to send a courier who brought cash with them and turned up in a 1 hour collection slot!
Have you heard back from your buyer yet?
Nope still not heard anything

I've had a text back from the buyer - she would pay for the extra packaging, but have agreed a refund instead, I can't really face all the faff! So have raised a case in the Resolution Centre on ebay to cancel the transactionBack after paying off DMP in 2014 - want to make sure debt doesn’t start creeping up again

A seller must arrange their own postal method.sorry to jump in - I have done this lots of times for 'collection only' items (as a buyer) never had/caused a problem and buyers were all happy. If you arrange collection with a courier, the courier should have records so you can't say it hasn't arrived etc?
If a seller were to allow the buyer to arrange their own courier, the seller would not have any record of that.
The buyer can then claim "Where is my item?" and the seller cant do anything about it as they have no proof that it has been delivered. Ebay and Paypal will always refund the buyer in this case.
It is a 'scam' that has been highlighted in many news articles and forums and yet sellers keep falling for it thinking that its safe.
A seller must always ask for cash on collection only items and never let a buyer arrange their own courier.
Yes, you might be honest but there are plenty who are not.0 -
Expect negative feedback from the buyer if you cancel the transaction too.0
