Hello everyone,
I have had a letter today from JCP. They are telling me i have recently been told that there is a doubt that i have applied for a certain job. I haven't been told anything like this otherwise i would've given them evidence. They are now sanctioning me. I can remember the name of the company they have mentioned on the letter. But i cannot remember how i even applied for this job or what the actual job was as this job must've been well over a month ago. I have applied for so many jobs since. It was only last week i got rid of loads of letters, job ads from jobcentre etc i got rid of. i got a months worth of job logs here so that job must've been over a month ago. Its not fair that they're doing this after the vacancy was so long ago. What can i do im so angry i cannot even phone them. Is there any good pointers i could write in a letter please? thanks all.

First thing would be to find out when you were matched to the vacancy and how you were ment to apply as it may jog your memory.
You will not be sanctioned before they hear your side of the story.
Hopefully it was a job you applied for by email and you'll be able to check your sent items.
Unfortunately saying it was too long ago to remember will not do you any help and could result in u losing upto 26 weeks benefit0 -
Hi thanks for the reply. The letter says i'm being sanctioned from the 25th november to the 23rd jan. They haven't heard from my side of the story yet and looks like they already made the decision.0

A good idea here is to keep ALL jobsearch / application / interview offer etc emails in a folder called, Jobsearch, have subfolders for each category IE Applications. Even if you are not using email you could keep simple single line records on a spreadsheet. Although this isn't of much help now--never get rid of evidence!0 -

Ask at the Jcp for a dr7 form to have the descision to be looked at again and gather any info you can relating to the application you made.0 -
You need to keep all your job applications writen down and like me I have an inbox on my email of links to all jobs, the advert in full and copies of any automated emails from sites or companies. I have all my jobs for the last 11 months and can prove any job I have applied for and or the response back from the companies/agencies.0

They will ask to see the list of jobs you applied for and you have to tell them if you did or didn't apply.
Did you apply? What records do you keep of applications?0 -

Did you not send a supporting letter with your application? If so, is this not still on your computer?0 -
This is what im on about. I got rid of loads of letters of job ads the jobcentre gave me and old job logs after a sort out last week. I have a months worth of logs (the books i fill in for them) and it must've been over a month ago. I have searched papers that i have kept for recent ads. how can they do me for something from that way back they should've said something then. and they havent said anything about it until this letter. Well i have searched my email i cant find it there it cant have been via that.0
