Car tyre flat a week after purchase!
Hi
I purchased a 2001 mini cooper last week. This morning I realized one the front tyres has gone flat. I don't have a spare tyre to replace it with. What could be causing this? Could there be a mechanical problem with the car causing this or is it that the tyre is somehow punctured?
Sorry I don't know much about cars.
Many thanks

tyre needs reseated or you have a puncture0

Yes indeed, it could be somehow punctured . . . or maybe a leaky valve.0

And it could have happened the moment you drove off the forecourt - all outwith the dealership's control. I'm surprised you don;t have a spare wheel though - I thought it was only from 2008 that no spare was provided?0

The only MINI ever available with a spare was the One and even that was a spacesaver and a cost optionThe man without a signature.0 -
This is a common problem and is often caused by the nut behind the steering wheel.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0

Sounds like it's only flat at the bottom of the tyre so you should be alright.0

Imagine an 11 year old car getting a puncture a week after purchase!
Clearly this car is faulty and i'd say you have a strong case to get all your money back from the dealer. Tell him you too dumb to own a car.0 -
