Questions about house price crash forum ?

I enjoy reading the views on house price crash forum, many of which I agree with, although I wish there was more balanced view at times .

The question I have is every time I have signed up which is more than once now ,because as after a while my posts stop appearing . I am not controversial , nor am I a troll in anyway ,so why do my posts stop appearing or when they need to be viewed by a moderator for approval never actually appear any more .I have only signed up under new names once my posts stop appearing .Do they only take posts from people with certain exact views ? I think one of my last posts that never appeared was how do you guard against inflation .My last two board names are trevor _1977 and crashplease .

I do not get it do they only now accept post from a small click of people .I still enjoy reading the forum but it would be nice to reply and add to topics .

I know I am not very good at expressing my self through a keyboard so perhaps this is the reason, not articulate enough . It does concern me this kind of censorship ,if this is what is happening .By all means block troll post and rude and vulgar comments but my posts are never like this.

Because of they way most post no longer appear it makes me question the balance of the forum ,has this happened to anyone else who has not been a toll like myself .

Forums would be very boring if everyone had the same view and although my view is pretty much the same as the main posters on there I think perhaps my post get blocked because they fear my views may become different or because the board is only for few in the click which is wrong imho.

I enjoy reading the forum but I am staring to question the balance if there is other people like me that never have their post show up as well .

So you came here to ask us....why? What have we got to do with HPC? How do you know we know the answers?

Well one of the main threads that is pinned here is about them . I would of posted in HPCF as well if I could post or if there was linkto contac somone there then i would of done it .I posted it here because I am a member here aswell and it will get seen .

I love open discussion forums o long as they are open .Of course they must have rules to be obeyed as well .

Do no be too sensitive about my post there is no sinister reason behind it .I am just looking for answer views to what other may have to add especially members form there aswell and I am sure there are many on here that are members of both .

I read a lot on hpc about media ramping prices up with vested interest propaganda and I bleive thay are right .I just hope they are not doing the same and are still balanced and there is a simple explanation why I cannot post .It just gets me to question things I read and what is being censored .We talk about China some times but is it happening here to that extent aswell ,who knows .I hope not .

I have no agenda I like hearing peoples views to why house prices may fall or rise . I just alittle suprised abut why my posts never get posted and this is the only way i could think of expressing this .

I think you've answered your own question.

I've been banned twice for no reason. The second time one of their oldest and most prolific posters Realistbear stated property in his area (West Sussex) was crashing. I provided statistical information proving it wasn't and was promptly banned without reason. Funily enough he dosen't post there any longer, as like many, he saw the light and bought.

As it celebrates it's 10th Birthday next year, I wonder how many on HPC will reflect on their stupidity? I bought my first home in 1982, moving to a bigger property in 1987. I'd paid my mortgage off in 1994, so Mortgage free,12 years after first buying :D

The likes of misfits such as Bruce Banner, Eric Pebble and their Cheerleader Jonathan (Houseprices will drop 40% - 50% 2007 - 2013) Davis represent a sad and deluded bunch. No doubt they'll still be chanting their same mantras 10 years from now.:rotfl:

The thread that is pinned here is for views on a house price crash not about the forum with the same name.

It was started and pinned because the house buying and renting forum was being bombarded by crashaholics de-railing thread tiopics.

Well this is why I posted here to see if others had been censored .Mind you my view is still we may see a further fall but given the cost of renting I would much rather buy now if I can get a mortgage . My saving are becoming worthless and I believe I am better off buying and renting one of my rooms out as opposed to being in a rented room now as it works out much cheaper even if interest rates rise .

There are some good poster but they do need to be more balanced as they are misleading people imho .

    Sick of it.
All I wanted was a decent house at a decent price. Instead I got:

    Follow lengthy rant.

I am sick of the UK and the way it is being run.

Why would anyone want to live here!

Yes, HPC began silently purging those with non-bearish views some years ago now. Don't think there's many rational people left there now.

I think the last well known non-bear silently banned was Bardon, who frequented the Australian property thread. He soon appeared elsewhere, saying his posting and PM privileges were removed without warning or explanation.

There are many nutters on hpc.

Nevertheless, it is one of the best places for economic/political debate and analysis.
