'3' Billing Query

Hi folks,

My previous contract with '3' finished on the 28/11/04. The bills were always settled by DD. The phone (one of the first bricks!) is lying next to my PC gathering dust and has done since 28/11.

However since then I've received TWO new bills!!!!

The first one for £0.01 last month - on the bill it says Adjustment for Voice Charging Error from inside the EU. So I paid it by cheque.
But another bill has just arrived for £2.20 - this one is apparently due to an adjustment for incorrect Line Rental Credit.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do I have to pay this? I'm thinking that if i dont' take a stand then another bill will arrive next month for £5 then £10 ...

Any ideas?

    I had same thing, I had a phone for my brother on my name which finished about 6 months ago, 2 weeks ago I had a bill with adjustment and that I own them 0.1p. I phoned them up to pay by card since I have a 3 contract for myself, they took my details and still money has not been taken out, I made another phone call on Tuesday, but still no money taken out.

    I am not sure just post a cheque, but if you had another bill I wonder will I get one as well.

    so do what i did!

    i wnent to https://www.contactnumbers.com [08700410047] & got an 0871 number divert to my homephone.

    Sent 3 an email marked 'very urgent regarding payment' to a/c's department to call me back on my 0871... WHICH THEY DID & i kept 'em talking for about 40 nimutes about diff options & I earned myself about £1.00

    snap i'm having same problems with 3. i did not agree with my (what i thought would be) my final bill. After phoning on numerous occasions, being put on hold until my battery runs out, speaking to about 6 different depts. explaining the problem each time. i have got nowhere. each time it ends with either my battery running out or 'sorry we cannot help you . you just have to pay this bill. the final straw was that i was told 'an invoice is on its way to you for about 47 pounds'. she could not tell me what this was for , despite my phone being disconnected when the contract ended. therefore no usage or line rental. now i have received a threatening letter for non-payment. feel like pulling my hair out, as payments were taken by direct debit, therefore they never had any hassle from me.
    btw, can i change the sim to payg, as i still have the sim and phone?????????????
    i'm extremely angry and annoyed as would have expected SOMEONE should have been able to sort this out. as i explained i wanted to make my final payment over the phone to get this out of the way.

    Update, the 1p is still no taken out of my account, today was my deadline, so I phoned again, I explained that I have already phoned twice to pay my 1p on my card. The guy says I have to speak to customer service. I told I don't want to I want to pay the bill, he said ok, took my details and said that how much do you wanna pay I said 1p, he said you own says £7 and can't remember how many pence he said. I said why is tha when my contract has finished over 6 months ago.. He said I have to speak to customer services and he can't transfer me.

    So dialed again, spoke to customer services, I explain whole saga again, she said you only own 1p, I said the guy I spoke to few minutes ago said I own more then that, she put me hold for about 5-7 mins, then got back and said my account is closed I don't own anything.. I hope this is the end of it.
