Splat had to visit the vet :(

Ive been really worried about Splat :( last night we came home to find sloppy poop with bright red blood

Splat was and still is as normal, running round like a nutter, eating, drinking etc so thought I would ring the vet today for their advice!

They didn't seem worried, but I was as she hadn't opened her bowels (still hasn't)
So took her in just to be sure! The vet had a real good feel around, said her stomach and intestines feel normal, said she has formed poo in her and no apparent blockages! Checked her temperature which was normal.

Outcome was she didn't know what it was for definate and isn't worried as everything is as shluld be as far as she could tell! So prescribed 5 days of antibiotics and 10 days of probiotics so fingers crossed its nothing serious! I'll be happier once she has been to the loo again as its now been over 24hrs!

Anyone else experienced this?

  • my first thought was worms but the vet obviously ruled that out. Splat might have just picked up something that didn't agree with him.

Bless him, it's such a worry when our little pets are poorly. Hope he makes a quick recovery

Splat had a normal solid poop late last night and no blood in sight :) I was so relieved to see that poop!! Lol

We are having fun with her taking the antibiotics but she is swallowing in the end lol

I would take a pic of her now for you all but she is running around like a loony!! Maybe later lol
