O2 Broadband - existing mobile customer discount

Hi all. I currently have an O2 mobile contract (held for many years) and O2 broadband (with the £5 per month discount). I am looking to renew my broadband deal with the 12 months 50% off each month deal. However, I am also planning on ending my mobile contract in the near future and moving onto GiffGaff. Obviously I will no longer be an O2 mobile customer so will lose my discount. My question is whether it is possible for me to buy a PAYG sim and register that to my existing account and hence still get the discount (I realise I will need to top up £10 every 3 months). Unfortunately I won't be able to just change my existing number to the PAYG sim because I will be porting my number with me to GiffGaff. Any help is gratefully received.

Why are you going to GiffGaff when its just a reseller of O2?0

'Cos they're £6.50 per month cheaper with more voice minutes and twice the download limit with tethering allowed (on their cheapest plan).0

I top up a p&g chip every 3 months, so yes you canDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Don't forget that you can't run a 'normal' goodybag and a data goodybag concurrently.comp-uter_guy wrote: »'Cos they're £6.50 per month cheaper with more voice minutes and twice the download limit with tethering allowed (on their cheapest plan).
You can either have the minutes and pay 20p per day (20MB) + 20p per MB above that for data from your credit OR you can have the data and pay the normal rates for your calls from your credit..
