Tesco/M&S/Halifax Credit Cards - Are they contactless?

Hi All

I am looking to replace my current credit card with one that has a decent 0% spending period on it and browsing the deals on here, it seems that the Tesco, M&S and Halifax cards are the winners at the moment.

I'm very tempted by the Tesco card (because of the clubcard points) but I do a lot of purchases via the contactless chip on my current MBNA card - and over the course of a month these really add up. However, it seems impossible to find out from Tesco's website if their card is actually contactless. Anecdotally, it seems to me that they aren't but just wondered if anyone out there has a Tesco 0% spending CC, if they could let me know if they are contactless?

Although less tempted by the other 2, it would be handy if anyone who has either one could let me know if these are contactless too?

I have an M&S card and they don't have contactless payment, neither do Tescos and i'm pretty sure Halifax doesn't either.

I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong!

I believe Halifax have aspirations, I got a leaflet about contactless with my Clarity card, but the card itself is definitely not contactless.

I have all 3 - none of them are contactless.

Mmm. OK - Thanks everyone. I'll drop Halifax a message to see if they are issuing new customers with contactless cards - there's some chatter via Google that they are if you request it. Seems the best I can do.

Unless you live in McDonald's I wouldn't bother with contactless.

Completely agree, my Barclaycard and MBNA are contactless, only place other than McDonald's which accepted it that I've come across insisted I stuck my card in the reader and did the chip & PIN thing anyway.

I've only just come to tolerate C&P, I'd have stuck with swipe and sign if I'd had my way!

I absolutely don't want a contactless card. So far I haven't got one but I don't know if they will be pushed on us.
