Avoid EBOOKERS at all costs

Similar experience as mrs.slinkyfink. Did not actually realise I had completed a purchase of a package with ebookers as I did not confirm/purchase. Got my credit card bill 10 days later to find they had charged nearly E3,000 to my card but yet I had no email or other correspondence from them. Contacted them to get a refund and explained that I had no idea this had gone through and I had booked my holiday with another travel company. They told me it was non-refundable and even had the cheek to suggest I should cancel the deal with the other company!
Six weeks later and depsite numerous phone calls emails and registered letters they are still refusing to refund me. Consumer Affairs have confirmed that I am entitled to it and have advised that I take legal action.
Have your credit card company had any success mrs.sf?0
