I too get excited when I walk in the garden or go for a walk & see all the signs of new life. I've got a pair of Blackbirds nesting in an evergreen Clematis that runs along the back of my house. I've seen Mum & Dad working so hard to feed their chicks. If they're near me in the garden I move slowly so not to disturb them & they've got quite confident - Dad was about 2 feet away from me this morning
It makes me think too of all you toughies doing something very similar - working your g*ts to make sure your babies survive. I'm hoping the babies fly before we go away on holiday as a couple of years ago a neighbourhood cat managed to get to a nest - I'm keeping a watchful eye out. My Puss doesn't seem to have cottoned on (she's a bit slow that way
)
Hope everyone has a good day & the weather dries up a bit. Will try to send you some sunshine Mardatha before you do grow webbed feet!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
MAR of course I'll throw cake into the pond for you if you really want me to but I'm sure it would taste better if you came out and sat on the bench with a cuppa too, any particular flavour cake? just so I can be prepared!!! GINNY any time, I had that image too and I'm still giggling, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Ginny : it's too small for football plus daddy hates it. Lol. Daddy will be taking him rock climbing, surfing, skiing, swimming in the sea and anything else you consider dangerous. Lol. At least my garden will be safe
I would like a nice lawn for little un to sit on0 -

Hmm, my little boy's daddy hated it too - until little boy grew into a bigger boy that loves it! Now boy and Dad spend many an afternoon or evening football training or playing (boy - OH ferries and watches), or "up the Villa", our tea time conversations often revolve around league places, players, matches etc.
I have no lawn to speak ofI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Would that be Aston Villa VJsmum? I have a soft spot for them although I'm not a football fan - as my Mum & Dad were married in Aston Church & I was christened there:)Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Bit lighter in the pocket...paid my bills for the month. Managing to avoid spending on food using up food I have...the weather is bad outside but these past days the house has been warmer and the CH has stayed off.
Needed some trainers too(my two pairs are about finished)was about to travel out of town and buy some discounted designer types because my usual ones were unavailable but found some on the town before that.
Not branded but only £9.99 a pair(so I purchased two pairs while they were there)so I'll be ok for a while, I was expecting to pay £20 for one pair.
I will still wear the old ones until they are totally finished."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

yep, the poor almost definitely relegated Villains. WHilst not on the doorstep, they are probably our nearest league team and DS has always supported them. He also goes to their soccer schools in the holidays. He also supports Cardiff, who have just been promoted so it's not all bad.
Honestly - we don't know where the sporty football thing has come from, OH's school report said "show's some interest if the ball comes his way" :rotfl: We never had any interest till DS did when he turned about 8.
Aston church is lovely if it's the one I'm thinking of.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Hehe daddy has already said if he wants to play football he'll happily join in. However if he wants to go watch Argyle then he'll have to go with mummy (which she's fine with! Lol) or his uncles who are season ticket holders0

Sun shining here now and a lovely evening so i hope you have this too mardatha.
Easy sausage casserole for tea, half a tin of beans added. loads of veg in there so that ticks all boxes for the famous 5. had some mango first as I couldn't wait and then had olives and feta cheese. Off to have the sausages now but popped in here to see what's doing with you. Lovely to hear people's stories of flowers coming up and birds nesting. I love all this!

Hope everyone has been well. We escaped for our Easter break and DD came down with shingles, not nice at all. She's still not herself. On the plus side I didn't pile back on all the weight I'd lost. The Ikea wardrobes are up in the children's rooms now and we are slowly finding places for all the piles of stuff. I'll be so relieved to finally get some semblance of tidiness upstairs. The baby bunnies are 12 weeks old now and very cute - except one has kept trying to mount the other today so I'm hoping we weren't told wrongly that they were both girls! I'm trying to work it out myself but finding it rather difficult to tell. They are too young to neuter/spey yet so I had better find out quick!0
