Hmmmm this tal of faggots, might have to try some. Not liking the sound of haggis, but im sure it would tast delicious with some nice thick gravey.
Sorry forgot to mention, welcome peanut to the mad house. Most humerous talk here at times, and then we also have some very serious talk as well.
I think we are all in the same boat, money seams to be sweezed into a smaller and smaller amount, but solider on we do.
I tried the bleach and bicarb mix, bit stinky but it has worked. It needs reapplying again but its looking hopeful that the grout in the bathroom wont need to be redone as it looks a whole lot better.
Have a nice day everyone xBSC member 137

Hi SILVASAVA yes, we are in Hampshire but coastal, the farm butcher is in Shedfield, but only just, it is up the hill from Wickham to the traffic lights and turn right, then turn left a little way along the lane and down the hill. I can never remember if it is WESTFIELDS or WESTLANDS but it is sign posted on the corner. They do the monthly farmers market in Fareham on the first saturday of the month too. They are a bit disorganised at the moment as they are undergoing a refurbishment but it's still business as usual. The shop is actually on the farm and there is plenty of parking in front of it. The other good place locally is McCARTHYs which is a fruit and veg outlet combined with animal feeds, firewood, and many other things. That is also in Shedfield but instead of turning left at the traffic lights up the hill from Wickham it is straight over and a little bit further on on the right hand side of the road. Worth a visit, not the cheapest prices around but the best quality I've found down here. Going to get a chicken next time I go as they looked very good today, nice and plump and not prepacked(very little is) so you can buy just the amount you want. They had dry pink skin and looked like chickens used to. Hope you like what you find if you decide to go, check on opening hours too, I think they are open most days of the week now but it used to only be Thursday to Sunday, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Hello everyone
I have had a headache since Monday so am feeling  andat the moment. I'm not sure what is causing it but I would like it to stop now please....(Please don't send Nursie as I can't deal with even the muffled screams of the men she lures/drags back to the cupboard)
nuttyp memory girl posted this on her blog. I thought it might help with the bathroom cleaning. Just make sure that you don't mix it with bleach http://mortgagefreeinthree.com/2013/02/tile-and-grout-cleaner/
Also Frugal Queen has a very good faggot recipe.. http://frugalincornwall.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/homemade-is-cheaper-simpler-and.html
Hugs and fingers crossed for spring springing early xxxx0 -

Bless you Mrs L- - you are much nearer to me than I thought! I'm just outside Waterlooville so Wickham (lovely village & Music Festival) & Shedfield are reasonably local for me. Will give them a try, thank you so much. I used to use McCarthy's years ago when they had their place at the side of the road just outside Wickham & we often take overseas visitors to Bishop's Waltham to picnic in the palace grounds - oh its got me wishing summer were here
SDG Grateful thanks for the link to the faggot recipe - DH loves them but finds the Br**ns ones too salty now so I'm going to give them a bash!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
It's a lovely area we live in isn't it SILVASAVA? If you are coming over this way for a visit you might like a little farm on the Stubbington Road just above Titchfield, it's called Hollam Hill Farm and is down a little track off the main road. He is a free range egg producer and also breeds meat goats which he sells in the shop which is an odd little ramshackly wood lap building in the farm yard. They sell the best range of sausages in the area including Toulouse, Kabanosi, Boerwors and occasionally Italian fennel and brandy ones, very yummy indeed. You can see the egging hens running about in the field beside the road. They are only open Thursday to Sunday but it's a friendly quirky place, run by nice folks, worth a visit, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Bun
I've never tasted faggots. It's the name and probably the brand name that really puts me off. Somehow I don't think I'll be trying this one.
Had to pick up DD's at 2. Youngest had runny toilet accident. She's very pale but no temperature. She's had a bath now drink milk and digestive. Anything else I should be doing? She's supposed to have shepherds pie for tea but think she should have weetab1x instead.0 -
Hi FUDDLE keep her liquids up and keep her on bland things to eat but I wouldn't worry to much, they bounce back really quickly at her age. The Hospice might not be as daunting as you think, DD2 did a 4 month rotation in a Hospice as part of her GP Training programme and loved it, she felt she was part of the best team she has ever worked with and actually got to do ALL of the job she was trained to do. Surprisingly it was a very up beat atmosphere where people were given the best care possible and thier relatives became part of the big hospice family so not the quiet and subdued place you would imagine it to be, Hope they take you as a voluntier I think you would be good in that situation, you empathise so well and you're a sunny little personality, you'd cheer them up, Good Luck, Lyn xxx.0

Haggis is lovely Nuttyp - a really frugal tasty dish and very versatile - lovely on its own with mash and gravy, nice stuffed inside a chicken, lovely down the middle of a log of lorn sausage and sliced cold on sandwiches it tastes a bit like haslet.
Lovely!!!0
