PX87 if you have surplus cherries sell them, charge a little less than the shops do and you'll make yourself some cash, cherries are sooooooo expensive, home grown at 2/3rds the price would certainly get me buying!!! We've sold our surplus garden produce for years and always make at least enough to buy in next years seeds, so we eat for free, every little helps, yes? Cheers Lyn xxx.

FUDDLE would you be able to put a strong batten of wood on the outside of the shed, across it not up and down, then you could screw in some strong hooks or a sturdy nail, and if you made a hole in the top of the back of the milk bottle you could hang them up in rows, you could cover the whole shed wall then if you put up more than one row and the weight of the compost in the containers would stop them blowing about or away? Just a thought. If you want something to cheer you up, This morning at 2 minutes past 7 I got woken up by a cold nose in my left ear, 'Hello Docky Dog!!! not precisely the words I used, but close.......... I'd had a disturbed night and moved into the spare room to let He Who Knows sleep on....... at 3 minutes past 7 there was an equally loud shriek from our room as the lurcher had put a very cold nose into He Who Knows right ear, that dog has such a silly sense of humour!!!!!!! and a VERY cold nose!!!

hi toughies back from the estate agents. Another couple posted an application form through the door before they opened this morning. So it looks like they have been gazumped already. The letting agent took the forms and said she would talk to the owner of the property - not sure she will but I suppose there is a glimmer of hope. I hope they think ummmm lets give them a go. It would be nice of they did and they would be considerably closer to our house too.

I know its silly but I feel so sad and upset, I just want some luck to go our way for once.

To grow potatoes my mum plants hers in a bucket, even broken ones are ok as they need drainage holes in the bottom!! She plants 4 in a bucket, so quite a good crop.

Well off to make some breakfast, take care x

Docky is an early riser! Alfie sleeps in the kitchen with the door closed (worried he'll sit on youngest DD's head while sleeps, I know I'm OTT!) and squeaks at 7.30am on the dot. When that door is open, if your still in bed you will get pounced on! Aw but I want a calm quiet Alfie nose in my ear to wake me up, so cute! He's chasing a fly round the house at the moment.

I have an old farmhouse chair in the garden. Just getting in the way really as it has no real purpose other than a stepping chair (£1 car boot find that had been trashed by shabby chic'ing but poorly) and thinking of how I can use that as a growing feature, maybe sanding, varnishing and screwing hooks on it?

That is so frustrating NuttyP! But, they might get lucky yet. When we were looking something similar happened. Turned out, the landlady wanted to pick and choose. Initially she didn't pick us--said she was going with another couple. A few days later we got a call and they were going to go with us. I guess the other couple either didn't want it or didn't pass the credit check. In the end we chose a different (more efficient!) house, but we ended up being in the running even after we thought it was done, so don't despair!
  • Believe me m'dear even at that unearthly time of day there is NOTHING calm or quiet about the Dockling OR his nose, he's only got two modes of operation, asleep or COMPLETELY MANIC!!!!!! and he wasn't asleep this morning, nor was his nose!!!!!

I feel the same princess re gardening. it will happen eventually if I (and you) want it to. I spent years watching cookery shows and reading recipe books before I started cooking properly and still a way to go there. So all this reading of gardening talk will eventually lead to some real gardening, right?!

well done with the debt appointment... the beginning of a new, positive chapter! oh and cherries.... you lucky thing! enjoy them!

hugs nutty, sorry you are disappointed and upset. There will be other places, just wait and see love.

Forgot to say I started yet another brilliant course yesterday, it's only a 4 week one. Met up with some old faces which was great. It was about understanding boys and their behaviour, aimed at years 4/5. There were a lot of tears with people sharing their stories, one woman I know a little had been holding her feelings in for ages and just cried (silently) the whole way through. I offered to go for a cuppa afterwards but she needed to be on her own at home which I can understand.

Had one of those moments of intense gratefulness today. Just driving along thinking I am so glad you are working today car, thank you!

Another one with a disturbed night Mrs LW. Littlest one had a nightmare and came into bed for us (we are so lucky to have a queen size!) and randomly through the night grabbed me, poor child. Both have assessments at school this week so wonder if that was worrying DS6, though he claims to love doing them being top of the class. DS9 is definitely stressed out with them, he used to enjoy them too (strange boys I have!) but since possible tests for secondary school have been mentioned, he is worried he won't pass those and then won't go to a good school and get a good job. I am worried how he will cope in our local school, lots of tough kids (not their fault) there but also worry he won't cope with the pressure of 11+ and other selection tests and should I put him through it.

Anyway enough rambles... off to a favourite friend for a precious hour before v quick sarnie and counselling skills course today.

    sq:)

Good luck vibes being sent your way, I know when me & OH moved, We searched high & low to be near my family at the time, Sadly they've moved now, But the stress & waiting to hear back from the estate agents was horrid. xx

thankyou everyone for the words of support, I know its just a waiting game. I hope the letting agent keeps to her word and lets the owner choose. She did note that they were trying to find somewhere inbetween where they both work. She also noted their jobs and mentioned she would tell the owner too.

Well I have to pack my tea, another sandwich day !!!!

Have a great day everyone in the garden or with your doggies....

Thank you :) I'm about to have my morning break cuppa and well have a look while I take time out.

Nutty house hunting whether mortgage or rental is so upsetting. Hopes are built high and than are completely quashed. It's awful but it all does come good in the end xx

Just back from walking the pup and so pleased to report that the swan's nest I have been watching for 6 weeks finally has hatched 6 cygnets :D
