Evening toughies - Kez & Lisa - oh my I remember it well, we met in the Dec and by the Oct DD was born.
MrsLW - could you not arrange for a tree to fall on top of this woman - she is clearly the wicked witch of the west after all
Lisa - thank you yes we did make it out today and then some. We headed to a farm which went well (no injuries, no one lost, no meltdowns and still in good humour at the end), I then popped into a National Trust place (we are members) for a quick wander and then on the way home decided to really push it and stopped at a shopping out let place to buy trainers for DD7. Didnt get the trainers but got both boys a new rain jacket from regatta.
Am exhausted now but whilst it was incredibly hard work it went ok and the kids really enjoyed themselves.0 -
I have cooked ribs in the SC today - was thinking of using the stock as a soup base - does anyone have a simple pea and ham recipe they could share please?0
-
all I do is soak a box of marrowfat peas overnight, boil for a few minutes, put in sc with stock, onion and ham shank/hock or bacon. quick blitz with a hand blender after about 5hrs (longer is fine).
DH and the kids love it xfreecycler and skip diver extraordinnaire:cool:0 -

Hi All,
It starts again with the HA...They have written to say they are happy with the house but now want to look in the garage where I was getting rid of stuff(slowly)and putting it in the wheelie bins and had transferred what I did not have time to get rid of with my odd job man etc...so now I have six days to get into that! I'll call on his help again...
So I'll see what happens...will start again tomorrow. At least I don't add to what I have, it is the opposite.

Pops - would a small skip be cheaper/quicker/easier? We have paid £120 for a huge skip, the small one was only £45 I seem to remember0

Kez, Lisa, my DD got pregnant within 2 weeks of meeting someone, 9 years, 1 house, 1 marriage, 2 more kids plus one more on the wish list they are still going strong. According to my son in law, he knew he wanted to marry her the night he met her, he realised that she was very anti marriage/comittment as I was in the throes of my very nasty divorce, so he got her pregnant on purpose as it was the only way he could keep her!!

a very early morning hello today. youngest DD has got a days work on a flower stall at a country fair today so she needs transporting into town for 630am. I am at work at 715, so will sit in my car and read the paper. Long day ahead, I am in until 10pm tonight. Why did I agree to this???
Yesterday we nearly finished sorting the spare room, and the back garden was tidyed up. just got the 4 little pots near the front door to re fill with something colourful. will do these tomorrow, hopefully.
Take care xBSC member 137
