Could well be kidcat :) Lyn as lovely and supportive as always, thank you. Popperwell I know what you mean about harking in too much having a detremental effect rather than a positive one.

I haven't had a camera for years. I just use my phone now. It's only 3 megapixels but super photos online. Really poor when developed though. I had no idea 10 megapixel cameras could be bought for £40! I will remember that, thank you.

I've had an email from allotment secretary. At least a 3 year waiting time for an allotment. Still, I put my name down. Have to start somewhere don't you.

lisakay - i was thinking of you and your mum the other day wondering how you were all doing :)

Stress is definitely a major factor in migraines but if you have hair trouble too its worth contacting your doctor to be checked just in case.

Fuddle, we were told 2-4 year waiting list, but ended up with one after 18months. I phoned up every 6 months or so to see how much the waiting list had shrunk by. many people put their names on a few waiting lists and take the first one available, so while the list looks long now it can shrink rapidly if you're lucky. They are a lot of hard work, especially with littles, but there are lots of projects you can do with them to keep them interested, can give you loads of fun ideas when you get near the top of the list x
we've got a full plot and are currently building a fairy glen (wildlife area). have sunk an old kids sandpit in to make a pond, got a couple of pond plants from freecycle and are building a toad village around it (ideas on pinterest), got a bird bath from B&M reduced to £1, girls are making beaded mobiles and windchimes to hang in the trees and they've built bird houses and feeders at the kids diy workshops at B&screw.
we love our little lotty and DH is now getting interested (after 4 years and after I've done all the hard work clearing and building beds lol)
our lotty rent is due to go up again in October, but we normally make the cost of it back in soft fruit alone, the amount my 2 littlies eat.

Thanks kidcat I saw the dr a few weeks ago when I found my first bald patch, had blood tests which apparently show that I am normal ;) I've never been particularly bothered about my appearance so not worried too much and In true money saving style...wont need as much shampoo lol. It's easily disguisable, being underneath at the back but the patch does seem to be growing slowly. It's a bit of a shame as I'm used to very thick, wild, unruly curls which I used to hate and grew to love.

thanks Mrs LW and B&T. I did refrigerate the spag bolly so we will have it for tea tomorrow!

Well I didn't quite get all the cooking done that I had hoped. I hadn't factored in all the laundry loads drying at various times in various places (you know the thing .... go to hang out wet load on the line but a nearly dry load is already out...so bring the nearly dry in to go on the airer... and that is full of dry washing... and repeat :D) and all the dishes everywhere (substitute washing machine for dishwasher and airer for dish drying rack) Better to have one meal cooked (chicken, bacon and red pepper lasagne mmm) and dishes, kitchen and laundry sorted eh?

Poor DH went to bed before eldest, he only got 2 hours sleep last night and has an exam on Weds (and another next week) and what's the guessing the two events aren't connected? He has been snoring away merrily for hours now... hope I can get some sleep when I go up to bed. :rotfl:

A nice surprise today. A friend gave me a little box of chocs today - they were left over from Easter (yes Easter ) and both her and her DH are trying to keep off sweet things (was going to say naughty things but erm didn't sound quite right ;):o.) I was going to save them to share with DH another eve but he really bit my head off before he went to bed for nothing at all. I knew it was just exhaustion and exam stress talking so let it all wash over me... but he's paid the price in chocolates! Sometimes you just have to think of number one toughies ;). The boys and I are planning a little celebratory tea party when he finally finishes this year's exams - lots of little nibbles, cakes, balloons etc and we will get out our favourite board games. The boys will love to plan it as well as the actual event.

Spent a chunk of the eve before popping on here sorting out the fridge and freezer - what a job sorting out Chesty! Worth it though as I know what's in there and can do some meal planning tomorrow and try and use the stuff languishing at the bottom. Actually think I will try and run it down a bit as its getting frosted up again and we could do with watching our food budget til pay day.

night night to anyone still up
    sq:)

Lisakay - your fairy glen sounds magical! Would you be able to post a piccie later (says she who never does anything with photos!) Hope you have a restful couple of days off and feel better soon.

Kidcat - hope you are feeling ok and have a better day tomorrow. Take it easy where you can.

ps fuddle, I have lots of spare stamps (bought them before the price rises) - happy to post you some for your job applications if you PM me

Saving queen - my sympathies are with you regarding the 'exam stress' DH will be doing his first exam in umpteen years next month for his OU history. I've had 3 exams so far for my OU but I am dreading his exam so much more than mine as it is going to be such a drama! Have booked tickets to Disability rocks (an accessible music festival locally) the Sat before so he doesn't get too totally taken over and we are off to Center Parcs the week after so something to look forward to.
