Selling a Pandora bracelet

Does anyone have any ideas as to where I could sell a Pandora bracelet? I was given it as a present a couple of years ago with 1 charm but its really not my sort of thing. As it was a pressie I dont have a receipt so I'm reluctant to put it on ebay as I can't prove it's genuine (although I'm certain it is). Just seems a waste to have it sat in a drawer. Any ideas

Bricks and mortar auction house where buyers can check themselves whether they think item is genuine or not.

Could you take it into a pandora shop and ask them if they think its genuine? At least then it would give you piece of mind either way if it is or isnt when selling.

Unless that shop is willing to give a certificate or other proof of authenticity it makes no difference to a sale.

  • I personally wouldnt bother with an auction house.

The value of a 2nd hand Pandora bracelet isnt high enough to warrant the high commision.

I also would not put it on Ebay as Ebay is filled with fake Pandoras and the problems that come with them.

I would try it on Gumtree, Preloved, that sort of place or you could put an advert into your local paper.
You would get more for it this way too.

You could ask Pandora if they think it is a genuine bracelet too if you want peace of mind but dont bother paying for any service they may offer you. Its not worth it.

Does it have a clasp? If you open it up, and look closely it will say ALE 925 if it is genuine. Also where it says Pandora on the clasp, there should be a little crown on top of the O to show it's authenticity.

I know it's a bit cheeky, but you could just go into a Pandora store and say your daughter/niece has this item, and you were intending on getting your other daughter/neice the same thing, and would they be kind enough to check if they have any in stock and if so, what the size and price etc is. Then just give them some b/s about being paid next week and that you will come to buy it then?

Having said that, if it's not brand new, I doubt you will get much for it on eBay. There are a lot of brand new ones on there where people have the receipt too and those sell for at least £10 to £20 less than the actual price they cost.

A fake will show all those marks as well.

I was going to say that. I was sold a fake Pandora last year which wasn't that easy to spot unless you had a real one to compare it too.

Do you have very accurate kitchen scales? If so weigh it without the charm and pop the grms on here. One main difference in the fakes is the weight.

But even if the OP does that she still cannot list as genuine on ebay unfortunately. I sold some tiffany earrings that I knew were the real deal, I bought them myself but I had no packaging, no proof etc. I listed on ebay as Tiffany, put I had bought them myself and the winning bidder is most welcome to take it to tiffanys for verification, thing is people don't want to go to that trouble and you can't blame them. I got £35 for them which is low low low but they were doing nothing sitting in my drawer. There are so many fakes on ebay that understandably people are wary. Could you not give it to someone as a nice present for christmas?
