    You had a scratch that had been there a while because your car was dirty, it could have been anyone, I get that bit

    BUT the OP checked their car before they went to the garage...no damage.

    checked their car when they got home..damage

    Unless the damage was done while the Op was driving, it was done while at the garage. proving it is another matter

    but the 2 analagys are poles apart
