sim card registration failed??

Hi there

i have just received my pay and go sim card this morning.
the problem is i get sim card registration failed. i have a nokia x2
and lg optimus 1 phone, these are both sim free and are not locked to any network.


i have had vodafone , o2 , and orange work in these phones fine.
i gave cs a call and he said my phones must must be locked this is
simply not the case, can you offer any more help, many thanks

I had one a month back like that. CS 'said' it was registered, but it wasn't (even though the package said 'Preregistered' in big friendly letters).

I had to take it to an Orange store and they registered it, and it worked 30 seconds later.

If it was registered recently it can take up to 24 hrs to activate...have you tried switching off and on?

If not, it sounds like you may need a new sim.
