HELP - 4 year old locked HTC desire

noodlespink2

My son was playing with my phone this morning and i use a pattern as my password. Without me knowing he kept trying and entered it incorrectly several times.

I cannot remember my gmail user name or password (the 2nd email address i had to enter no longer works) and have spoken to orange who cannot help unlock it as my volume buttom no longer works and thats what i need to use to start the unlock process.

Does anyone have any ideas how to unlock it ASAP

Without the volume button working there is no way of wiping the pattern off. I would suggest trying to remember the gmail account but try it on a computer and go through the recovery process for the password etc.

Have you ever logged onto Google play on your computer? If you have you may be able to grab the gmail address off there. Or any other site you may have used the email address for.

You might get lucky, on earlier versions of Android it was possible to work round the pattern lock.

Call the phone, and answer it. During the call, press your home button hope it takes you to the home screen. If so, go into the settings and re-setup your screen lock.
