Advice on Vodafone Contract

We're talking a few quid here. You can harp on about "the principle", etc... but come on - it's a few quid. Move on, I'm sure you'll feel the better for it. There are people with far bigger issues.
If you do insist on carrying on this crusade, take the rep's advice and carry it on through the channel she suggested.
To be honest, I moved on a week ago, and have only been back on the thread to answer questions.
I HAVE been carrying this on via the official channels, not that that is getting me anywhere either.
It may well be "just a few quid," but it is a few quid that I do not agree with and have never agreed to. The fact is, that this isn't a one-off and it's also a clause I do not agree with.
This is hardly some one-man crusade either, there have been literally hundreds of people on here complaining about a very similar issue.
I'm already resigned to the fact that Vodafone can and most likely will, get away with what they've done, so I'm not wasting my time, energy OR piece of mind.
I'm stuck with a contract that doesn't reflect my original agreement and tied in for another year with a company who has lost all my trust.
I still have the option of terminating the contract and paying the ETF, but this does not make financial sense.
So I'll play the waiting game until it does start to make sense and that will be that with my Vodafone experience, and almost certainly with my long-term mobile phone contract experience as well.0
