Have you tried Iceland - HP beans ALWAYS seem to be on offer there - 4 cans for £1.

Done Iceland, Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl,Netto and Asda i am in Chesterfield in Derbyshire and there seems to be a HP shortage.
I even put a search on the internet before Xmas and it was quite funny with a whole website dedicated to the missing beans!
I am not yet that desperate but it's like going on a diet when you can't have it you want it even more lol.

I've not seen HP beans in regular supermarkets for years the only place you can get it around here is Farmfoods. I have seen mention of it in "Home Bargains" but no stores near me so couldn't confirm or deny this.0 -
The question still remains
WHERE HAVE THEY GONE ??
WHY HAVE THEY GONE??
Does anyone know? Officially Debt Free Nov 2012 :beer:0 -
branston beans are better!Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Quillion, I think you are going to have to try another set of beans that will fill the void that HP has left! Good luck!
I have had the book Supermarket Own Brand Guide for a while now (borrowed it) and it says that Heinz baked beans are a very successful brand by which all others are judged. It places Morrisions, Sainsburys, Somerfield and M&S all above Heinz in the fact that they are cheaper and also equal to or better than Heinz. Maybe try one of these.
The Asda and Aldi ones rate the worst. It is down to your personal preference though.0 -
Home bargains stores have them in at 19p a tin.
I thought they were being cleared from superstores as they have been replaced by branston beans.
The Mansfield store has plenty in (not far from Chesterfield). Isn't there a Home Bargains store in Chesterfield ?
Try the cheap frozen food stores like Heron or Jack Fulton too.0 -
Ill try and have a look 2mar if we sell it where i work,
just out of interest is it premier foods who own the hp beans brand, i searched the net for hp beans and apparently heinz removed them from the shelves,
this might help
