Hello everyone, I have very little knowledge of phones etc but would like to upgrade and would appreciate some advice if that is ok.

Current details
Phone: Samsung E1120 (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_e1120-2711.php)
Plan: T Mobile Sim 10 (sim only) 300 mins, 300 texts, approx £8.80 p/m

I wuld like to upgrade to a nice phone and decent get internet access, but still be as cheap as possible. I saw this deal on uswitch (space between mobiles. and .co.uk)

Questions_
Is taking on a refurbished phone too risky?
What does 18 months free line rental by redemption mean?
Is it really only £1.88 a month or am I missing the small print?

Thank you for any help or advice you ca give

Had a few refurbs and they have been like new but usually come with just a charger and in a plain box. 18 months free line rental by redemption means you need to send in certain bills to claim your cash over the next 18 months.

Thanks Spondon. So cashback by redemption requires organisational skills? Not my forte!

yes it does and not just that, you have to pay the normal contract amount up front and so you need to read all the terms and condidtions of the redemption offers carefully as there are usualy a few very specific clauses in them which are easy to trip up on and so not get paid the money back.

as to refurb deals me and my wife have both had refurb deals (both from mobiles.co.uk aswell) neither of us have had any problems with them, and both of them have been as new - although as above only came with the phone and charger, no extra's such as memory cards, also we didnt go for the redemtion deals because of the inherent problems with actually following through and getting your money
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
