Mike Perkins has found fame at last by having a mention in Private Eye. This is in an article about the DVA ban on PPCs. I quote:-
So will the BPA, which runs the the industry self-regulatory Approved Operator Scheme (AOS), finally pull its finger out and clamp down on companies that flagrantly break the rules?
It seems unlikely. The BPA has written to members warning them to check their signs and correspondence are legally correct since the DVLA is on the warpath. But the latest appointment to the AOS board is Mike Perkins, Operations and Strategy Manager at Combined Parking Solutions, one of the companies serving a three-month ban from accessing DVLA database!

Just the kind of advertising he needs lolExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Perhaps Eye should be sent regular updates on how many AOS members are currently banned by the DVLA along with copies of the threatening letters they dish out to Innocent members of the public.0
