Please stop it. The OP has a legitimate problem and has lost a considerable amount of money - past issues with past sellers should have no bearing on that.
Totally agree - time to step back and let people help the OP sort out the dispute.
Must admit - i thought the feedback shown was the feedback left for others in its entirety. Didn't realise the good feedback had been removed (which is a bit naughty). My bad.0 -
Op, don't give up on this thread or your case.
There are always those who stoop to personal attacks as generally they cannot find anything constructive to say.
Click the ignore tab next to the poster concerned and let the rest of the posters here offer their help, support and advice.0 -
stardog,
Have you checked out your seller previous ebay history?
It's possible that they purchased the same laptop from someone on ebay in which case there might be a description stating any faults, or they may have sold it to another buyer and then had it returned due to the faults.0 -

Thankyou guys for all the thoughtful postshonestly I'm not lying and I would never deliberately damage an item as this seller is claiming. I'm a seller myself and I know how awful that would be especially with something so expensive as a laptop.
I try to be fair & positive with my feedback but I did leave some stupid ones a long time ago.
so anyway...I phoned ebay today and can escalate the case from 9pm, finally :Tshaun_from_Africa wrote: »stardog,

That's the thing he has no history, I noticed he only signed up 3 days before I bought the item from him. He says he only signed up to sell a few items. One of which was a domain name he had for sale for £1,500, I don't know if it sold or not.0 -
I'm not sure I've got this right but it looks like the same seller, jken2897 sold the same computer on the 2nd October and then to the OP on 1st November.
Sold Once
Sold twice
Edit.
My mistake. Just re-read the 1st post. It's a different computer.0 -
Ebay agreed to refund in full today, and they sent me a postage label for the return - Parcelforce 48 tracked, looks pretty safe. Very happy. Thanks again for all the advice offered.0
