Cheapest way to get internet access for iphone in nans house- no internet!

Hi, hoping someone can give ideas. My daughter uses her iphone on facetime to her dad abroad, at home no probs but when at nans she cant do it as no internet. obviously she will talk on facetime or skype for some time, so can anyone suggest a way i can pay for a reasonable price internet access??? totally clueless!!!:j:money:

She would need a landline installing (if she doesn't already have one) with broadband on it, and a wireless router. Or a cable internet service from VM.
That means a monthly fee, plus line rental.
The alternative would be a wireless broadband service via the mobile network.

The iphone 4 and below has to be on WiFi for facetime to work, if she has a 4S or 5 it will work over the network.

You could get around it with a MiFi dongle, and the phone will then think it's on WiFi with the dongle convertiring it to 3G but that depends on the cost of the dongle and data pack as to if it's better than a cheap broadband pack and router on her nan's phone line
