Right, im getting into purchasing retro mobile phones, dunno why, just some sad nostalgia now that im getting older..
Anyway, many 80's and early 90's mobile phones were analogue and are now obsolete, and cannot make calls. Im more into phones made in the mid to late nineties, phones like the Motorola StarTac and the T28...which are digital..and can still make calls..
Im still collecting older phones, but HOW LONG DO YOU THINK IT WILL BE UNTIL DIGITAL PHONES BECOME OBSOLETE LIKE ANALOGUE PHONES NOW ARE?

Sorry for the caps, but i wanted to emphasize what the question ultimately is.

Thanks guys and gals.

  • I'm not aware what the next step (technology wise) is. AFAIK tech is either digital or analogue. I'm not sure there's ever going to be a replacement for digital - maybe we'll go back to analogue some day?
