I thought that I would try and be clever, by searching for my non payer's phone number online, I googled the address and suprisingly enough it came up as a design business in remotest scotland.
I have tried the number and there seems to be a full answer phone, I then turned detective and rang the number of the mountaineering centre next door, according to multimap, talk about unhelpful!
I told them who I was and the name of our business, all I wanted to know was whether they knew the names of the people at the business and if the business was closed, or they were away etc.
I told them that the person concerned had placed an order with me and I was concerned because I was trying to arrange delivery.
All I get was "no sorry can't help". I could tell by the way they spoke to me they had no intention of telling me anything - not friendly at all.
I give up!

not available, whatever that means.
Am I right in thinking that as I block buyers with less than 5 f/b, he must have a card on file with ebay?
I had wondered if the contact details were false but I don't think they can be.
It's just a very odd situation all round really.
Now I am thinking that he might be a one man business and could have either gone away or something awful has happened to him.
The person I spoke to who was a neighbour sounded suprised when I said Mr xxxx, they said "who" as if they didn't know of him, that was the only thing that they let slip.
Now I just don't know what to think."There is a light that never goes out"0 -
no idea what not available means exactly
yes i presume he must have a credit card on file if he has less than 5 feedback and you block anyone with less than 5 feedback and no credit card on file
i would just start a non paying bidder dispute to get your fvf back and relist the item0 -
Try reporting him for incomplete / false contact details - ebay take a very dim view of this and may even suspend him. If that happens, you NPB dispute will speed up considerably. My TV is broken!

I would do what Fay suggests, let ebay do the investigating!!

It now gets weirder, I have had a message from ebay after reporting him, with his contact number, the one that was unavailable.
tried to ring it and nothing, just the funny tone. does anyone know if 07900 is a real code, mobile or otherwise?
If ebay try and contact him on this (non-existent?) number, and can't, will they then naru him straight away? It really is bugging me! (can you tell)."There is a light that never goes out"0 -
That is a valid code - but if there's a 'funny tone' ebay won't be amused. My TV is broken!
