How much are people charged if buying oil from 40 - 300 ltrs?

Was just wondering how big the tariff difference is for small orderss?

    Depends on the company.

The cost of delivering any amount of oil must be in the region of £50?? for transport and labour. Every tradesman for appliance repair seems to have a £50 call-out fee; and they don't come in a big truck!!

If £50 is a reasonable estimate it would mean that on delivery of 1,000 litres the cost is 5p a litre.

Delivery cost on 40 litres would work out at £1.25 a litre plus the cost of oil!!
  • No, your estimates are wrong.

But what I mean is the dealers who would deliver drums of the stuff.

    Country

Why not ring around see how much your local suppliers are charging?

Lagan oils for example ( from their website) is charging
    Refill
    £15.00 per 20 Litres
    No Drum
    £17.50 per 20 Litres
  • Yes, but is that pick up, or delivery? Surely you would have to go to their depot for that price?
