delete email address from auto-complete

I got Android v4

when i start to type email address I get a list of addresses I can choose from auto-complete list
great
but it keeps listing an address from my old employer which I don't want to send by accident so prefer to delete them from the list
I figure it gets these addresses from my address book but I have scoured it and its not from the book

where does it find email addresses
from and how to delete one?

You can use that method on a PC but you cant 'highlight' on a phone - it just inserts that address in

it must be kept as a list somewhere on the phone

Look for a clear form data button in the browser settings.
