Hi All, regarding using the double points voucher on Christmas Evenings. I went to my second Christmas evening yesterday. I handed over my double points voucher and the SA said I can't use it. I then showed her my receipt from two weeks ago where it showed that I used it on the Christmas Evening. (I was told by another SA that I could use it, as I didn't think you could) So she said ok I'll try it. She was amazed as it worked, on looking at the receipt she explained that you get double points on the spend (not double the 1200 points). I spent £100.97 yesterday, I got: 2400 pts - Christmas event points, 500 pts - voucher from till (from last event) 400 pts - double points on £100 spend. Hope this helps. (sorry - I posted this on the other boots thread, didn't see this thread)0

No it can't... there's a lot of T&Cs but basically you can't use it on infant milk, medicines etc...
"Unfortunately you cannot spend points on Boots Opticians, Boots Hearingcare, mobile phone top-up cards, prescription items, infant milk (up to 6 months) gift vouchers/cards, postage stamps, Travel Services and Boots Insurance."
Says so in Terms here: http://www.boots.com/en/Christmas/Online-Advantage-Card-points-event/
All this tells me is that you can't use points to buy a phone top up. It doesn't say that the buying of a top can't contribute to the £50 spend. I will have a try of it later if I can get out.
Hi, just wondered if you buying top-up worked? I am planning to buy phone top-up and gift cards at the next evening.:beer:0 -
buying a top-up counts towards the final total, if you want the extra points, say for a £50 spend - I did it last week. But you can't buy a top-up with points.0

Is on in my nearest big store tomorrow from 12.00 - 21.00 £12 worth of points for every £50 spend. Going to get some more Christmas presents :j:0

If you're are purchasing gift cards you dont get points.
But if you are paying with a gift card it counts as cash so you will get points as normal.
