    Morning all,

Still nothing from the job, so will in a sec to see what's going on.

Just had a picture from my dd of DGS in his pumpkin outfit for nursery complete with bright orange face, so cute. I mentioned she would struggle to get him clean, but she is not worried as he goes to his dads tonight so it's his problem ha ha
Cold and windy here. So the on going tooth saga continues. I still have tooth ache despite having a tooth out a few weeks ago and am now thinking its the tooth behind doh:eek: so have another appointment on Friday oh um.
Tea tonight will be egg and bacon. I have my weigh in tonight but despite working really hard and sticking closely to my diet plan I don't seem to have lost any more this week. Wuuvies well done on your weight loss. Slimming world never seemed to work for me as I have a real problem with portion control.
Have a good day all will pop back later J x

  • Morning, been missing in action as had really busy last 2 days. Back to work tomorrow after maternity leave but it's from home so will hopefully be ok.

Baby had to get inhaler bless her. So she's not herself at all. Hard to get to settle.

Big one is at nursey Halloween party this morning with bright orange cupcakes we made yesterday. And friends party this afternoon. If little one would settle I would like to get some eBay parcels sorted, do laundry and get some soup on for later.

Went to supermarket yesterday and got loads of washing powder on offer and other bits and pieces so my garage store cupboard is well stocked for a few months

    Morning all,

Made an early start on the household chores this morning. I like to get started when the dogs are still sleepy as they get in my way otherwise.

Beds stripped and bed linen changed.
    Kitchen floor swept and mopped.
Cleaned up after the pampered pooches.
    Kitchen work surfaces sanitized.

Which leaves the vacuuming throughout and the bathroom. Talk about the bathroom, youngest had his usual shower before he left for college this morning and i cant help but wonder who is the messier, him or his Dad.

Must check my bank account. The majority of the household Direct Debits go out tomorrow and i havent checked to see if the money hubby transferred into my account has been received ok.

Got some photos i need to take for Ebay but theres no rush.

For all of you who hate trick or treaters dont feel bad i hate it too. I just dont like the idea of kids knocking on doors (with or without parents). I must be a double killjoy as i dont like 'penny for a guy' on Bonfire nights..... Its got something to do with being told as a child that you shouldnt ask for things just be greatful when they are given.

    Have a good day all.

  • animated-smileys-halloween-042.gif Happy Halloween everyone including those who don't like it animated-smileys-halloween-028.gif
Personally I love it when the littlies get here and I always have some home made treats animated-smileys-halloween-036.gif and choccies for them or get the candy floss maker out, they all love that, but sadly it looks like tonight's weather will be awful, so I don't know if many will be out. I will have everything ready at 5pm just in case.
Today I am making mini pizza's using pumkin and bat cookie cutters, sausage mummies and plenty of cookies, so I will be occupied for most of the day.
DD, DS and friends are having a small gathering tonight at a friends house, so DH and I will have a nice quiet evening. So far it is dry and blowy here and the second load of washing is in the machine and I have one load of bedding after that.so hopefully it will more or less dry before I have to bring it in.
We are going shopping today because DH has to work all day tomorrow and he is off on Friday and we are planning a trip over to Hemel Hempstead to see if we can get the last few pressies, I also want to pop into B&M there, I need some wool animated-smileys-halloween-026.gif

  • Morning morning morning!!! And happy Halloween!!
It's a tad windy here in nottm, had a nice fresh walk too and from school with the kids.

Before I left I chucked the White washing on timesaver mode and by the time I got back 40mins later it was done, so then put my colour wash on and I've just hung that out.
Whilst putting the wash n the basket I checked my electric meter to find we have only used £4 since last Friday :T which is fab as we used to use around £12 a week so we are under budget so far.
This is by just checking the programming and timing on my washing machine and only using it on a mon, wed and fri.
I was doing a half load everyday!!! Out of habit is the only reason I can think of?
But just by doing this it is helping, as well as following everyone at home turning things back off again lol.
I also got into the habit of going out everyday with baby out of boredom? Thus spending money!!
These last few days I've stayed in playing with ds2 and getting some things done and I've enjoyed my time at home.
I have already vacuumed, tidied up, made the beds, two loads of washing, loaded the dw, cleaned the bathroom, put hm jerk chicken sauce in the sc with the chicken and I'm about to put some washing away.:T
Looking forward to picking ds1 up and going trick or treating later, we will be going about 6pm as the kids are in a routine.

  • Good morning everyone :)

Well it's not sunny but it is dry and breezy so the washing is out on the line but the clouds are being carefully watched.

I am in the don't like Halloween or trick and treaters club so I know it makes me sound miserable but I will be sitting watching TV quietly with the lights off and ignoring the knocks on the door :o

Am having lots of problems with British Gas/National Grid and our roof today so feeling a bit down in the dumps. OH is up in the loft sorting books for Oxfam and maybe he will even find a few we can sell too, we need a new roof fund and we definitely don't have one. :(

Well wishes for sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Have a super day :)

  • Hi all
I have a bowl of sweets ready for the trick or treaters, I shall answer the door in my witches hat, eye mask & cape, that way the kids from school don't recognise me.
Hubby & I will celebrate Samhain tonight, so we don't mind kids knocking on our door.
I have littlest DGD here at the moment as DD is preparing a halloween party for the older 2, & an 20 month old was no help at all!
Off to make another cuppa for hubby.
    Hugs Hester

I'm working in organised chaos here. My kitchen looks like a bomb site but i'm on top of things i am sure i am and its a clean bombsite.:o I am trying to organise the stuff under the stairs a little better, i'd post a picture if wasnt so ashamed. Its stuff i dont really want on show if you see what i mean.

Please say i'm not the only one who has a section of their home you would rather not let outsiders see. :(

  • Happy Halloween all!

Hester - enjoy celebrating Samhain (I did have to google it to check what it was for, but I was on the right lines in my head!)

I'm feeling much better today. Fell asleep on sofa at 8.30 last night, woke at 10pm, went to bed and woke at 6am. Back to eating food now (dammit!), but still a bit dehydrated.

I'm hoping to get some Trick or Treaters tonight, I've always lived somewhere inaccessable (down a lane/flat) so never had any! I live on a nice housing estate now and there are kids around. So I've got some sweets ready. If I don't get any then my work kids will have the sweets.

OS wise - dishes to wash, house needs a quick tidy, dinner will be from freezer.

    Have a good day all

    Hi all,

Just found out I didn't get the job but had to ring them! Oh well onwards and upwards.
I will have a bowl of sweets at the ready tonight. Just have to try and stop myself from eating them all.:D
Judi you are definitely not the only one. My box room springs to mind. It seems to be the dumping ground for things that I haven't quite decided what to do with and I also have one drawer in the kitchen that does get sorted periodically, usually when it's too full to shut or everything falls through the bottom.
Feeling a bit fed up now but I always think everything happens for a reason, I am sure something else will come along.
