I'm looking to buy a MINI One very soon and find it's quite difficult getting a straight forward list of what to look out for. Anyone know if the AA have some sort of guide for specific cars?0

My car is 18 years old, done nearly 100k and the PS still works perfectly.
Did you know that some new cars have electrically driven PS pumps? Whos stupid idea was that? nightmare. BTW,my car isnt a BMW or a miniFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
If your mini has not been serviced by a main dealer, was not bought from a main dealer or is more than 6 years old no chance of a contribution so I was told by Mini UK today. To add insult to injury I was told that AFTER they told me to have an expensive diagnostic at main dealer.
Long and short is that in my opinion Sale of Goods Act applies as it is not reasonable for a steering pump not to last the life of a car or 100,000 miles.
We can either moan here or do something about it. I will be issuing proceedings tomorrow through the small claims court. If we all did that they'd soon take notice but if we don't guys and gals all of our moaning will fall on deaf ears. Anyone want to do a class action let me know.0
