Comments

thats a big ladder!
to be fair you wouldnt catch me up either0 -
Thanks for the replies, but there is a variation in the heights of the ladders the ladders from about 4.04m to 6.35m in op.
The ladder that adonis suggested looks good - 4.07m (13'4") - 3 Section Extension Ladder with Integral Stabiliser but is it too short for reaching gutters?0 -

CheersThe difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has it's limits. - Einstein0 -
the OP is doing DIY not using it as a trade so it doesn't need to be commercial specI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

No argument to had about the use of the ladder but what has been pointed out is that 'DIY' or 'Domestic' is a byword for substandard. I personally wouldn't use a ladder with a max weight limit of 15st/95kg - I think most blokes would be over the weight limit regardless of any additional load.
When a ladder is marketed as 'trade' or 'commercial' then that means it will typically take 26st/160kg which is much more suitable - not to mention the build quality is much better making it a much better purchase as it will last a lifetime.0 -
very true but if you are 15st would you really be wanting to carry 11st up a ladder ? & if you are 26st then you have no right being up a ladder anywayI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

The one I got is here it reaches just over 20 foot and with a stand off I can get above my gutters with some ladder left to hold onto and it is just the right size closed to fit in my shed.
Also as it is a combination ladder it comes in handy for trimming my tall shrubs.0 -
they attach theres about chest height
we used ladders alot on the gas lines but ours were always tied at the top athough but we were going into a hole (once over 5m down) rather than up a wall0 -

Im 6ft tall and people would consider me skinny. I weight 82Kg which is just closing on 13 stone. It doesnt give much margin for safety and these flimsy things have too much whip in them for my comfort zone !
It amazes me that they can be sold.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
