Best PAYG deal for data abroad?

At the moment i have a contract sim card in my android phone on the three network, and sometime next year im plannng on going abroad (Scandanavia - Denamrk/Norway ) and i would like to use data without a bill shock.
due to the nature of where i will be going/what i will be doing, buying a local sim while there will be almost impossible.
does anyone have any ideas on what UK based pay as you go deal/operator offers the best deal with regard data roaming abroad?
i know Denmark is in the EU, but Norway is not - how would that affect things?

www.ee.co.uk for additional £5 on your plan you can use all your unlimited texts/mins in Europe or for data aswell a Vodafone plan/sim only allows you to use all allowancs in Europe for £3 a day, quite expensive though at £90 per month average if you use it once a day, thats ontop of your UK plan cost.

Personally save the cash and EE it I would, even calculating £90 minus EE plan cost still leaves good amount cash to buy a sim only plan in Europe for data or a local sim with calls/texts/data, 3 Denmark still do the 3UK discontinued "3LikeHome" in other "3" countries I believe, both EE & 3Denmark could be a god send for you, FREE roaming between both sims in UK & Denmark.

Buy the SIMs before you leave?

A THREE Ireland Prepay SIM will cover you for Denmark, though I don't think you will be able to use the International Roaming option until you've had the SIM for three months.

Use your daily, weekly or monthly add-ons just like home without any extra roaming charges. Just buy a top up voucher at an Irish Three store or Three top up retailer before you go, and go to My Three to buy a daily, weekly, or monthly add-on
