danlojo, the how much you pay per Kwh is fixed.
Your DD could be altered at review (nornaly, every 3 months) to take in how much fuel you are using.
For example if you plug in/ have heating on a lot more than expected estimate your DD will change. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
"Prices will remain fixed until 31st March 2015
Your Direct Debit and/or bill amount may vary depending on your gas and/or electricity usage"
Is this a fixed rate? Confused by the varying DD?
Yes that's a fixed rate. Your D/D will vary depending on your usage. Only the rates are fixed, NOT the D/D.0 -

Conditions on tariff
Under the Fixed Price Energy April 2015 offer your prices are fixed until
31st March 2015. Fixed Price Energy April 2015 Offer prices are equivalent to
ScottishPower's standard monthly Direct Debit prices effective 3rd December
2012. Please note that your energy bill may vary depending on how much energy
you use. ScottishPower may apply cancellation charges inclusive of VAT of £25
for electricity and £25 for gas if you switch to Fixed Price Energy April 2015
but then cancel your supply contract or switch to another tariff before the 31st
March 2015. These charges will be amended, if there is a change in the VAT rate
at any time or times before 31st March 2015, by an amount equivalent to the
applicable change in the VAT rate. These charges will not be applied if your
supply contract is cancelled due to a home move. This is an online-only tariff,
which means that you must be prepared to manage your account online. This
involves receiving and viewing your bills online, providing meter readings
online and carrying out general correspondence

The new development of introducing fixed tariffs with no exit penalty fees didn't seem to last very long, did it? Exit fees make the energy market even more uncompetitive. I'm amazed OFGEM haven't outlawed them (actually no I'm not, it's OFGEM).0
