Scottish Power 3 year fixed rate April 2015 Online

Scottish Power are telling me this fixed deal is no longer available.I had switched from Eon to a 3 year fixed deal with Scottish power on 15th October. When I received their welcome pack on Sat 20th October I realised I had selected the wrong Tariff it was a 3 year fixed DISCOUNT not the 3 year FIXED rate. This was because the switch site wasn`t very clear (which switch)On 22nd October( 1 working day later) I sent a cancellation e-mail to them explaining the situation and requesting the Correct Tariff (3 year fixed rate) which was acknowledged on the 24th. They are now saying the 3 year fixed April 2015 Online deal is no longer available and I am stuck with the 3 year fixed Discount deal because I `m outside the 7 working day cooling off period.(which I wasn`t) I can prove the dates of my e-mails except the cancellation because this was in reply to their e-mail and is therefore not in my "sent" files. So can anyone tell me exactly WHEN the 3 year fixed April 2015 online deal was withdrawn as I think Scottish power are trying to pull a fast one.

Last night. It was going to be pulled anyway, tariffs never last more than a few months. They get a certain amount of people signed up then pull it. If you can't prove you wanted to cancel within the 7 days I'm afraid you are stuck. It's not SP who made the mistake in the first case so unfortunately there's little you can do now.

Yeah that's the new one that's replaced the previous April 2014 one.

Thanks for that, I can prove I cancelled within 2 days and requested correct tarrif...they quoted my e-mail back to me on 24th october 3 working days days within cooling off period which states 7 working days from "receipt" of welcome pack. Their sales team are ringing back tmw..

Just spoken with someone at Scottish Power and confirmed that I have now fixed my price until April 2015, so that offer is definitely still available (or it was yesterday when I applied)

Hi folks, I can confirm that Fixed Price April 2015 is still currently available. Online Fixed Price April 2014 was withdrawn yesterday and has been replaced with Online Fixed Price May 2014 which is available from today. Hope this helps. Thanks David @ ScottishPower

When was it withdrawn? I tried to apply for it early yesterday afternoon, got right through to the last page and it was not in the list of tariffs offered.

    I can't tell you how annoyed I was. :(

... back to looking for the best deal.

"Prices will remain fixed until 31st March 2015
Your Direct Debit and/or bill amount may vary depending on your gas and/or electricity usage"

Is this a fixed rate? Confused by the varying DD?
Life is a rollercoaster.....ya just gotta ride it:whistle:
