I have held a Stocks and Shares ISA for 15 years. Growth has been poor and the current value is just slightly more than I have invested over the years.
I am now at retirement age. My question is, after 15 years, should I sell all my shares or transfer to another company in the hope of better growth. I do not need the cash at this time. What are the pitfalls re tax if I sell ?

You havent told us anything about what you have or what you would transfer it to. We need some context.

If you sell up and take your money out of the ISA, you won't have the tax protection any longer. You can re-gain it over the years in a new ISA, but obviously you are restricted by annual ISA allowances.
