  • I have seen some offers online, not on the stove as such, but on the flue pipe etc. so I will try do a bit more bargaining. Going to seal the deal on Saturday so will let you know how it goes.

    DH installed a Charnwood Stove in our house last year. We did not have a flue so had to have a double lined s/s flue - about 9 m. Just doing it himself the flue & fittings alone cost £1000 so I would think the price you have been quoted is pretty fair
    Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
