The terms of your policy are between you and your insurer.
Actually, what their advert says is,
"Relax, Autoglass can take care of the insurance claim for you. A repair is usually FREE and wont normally affect your no claims bonus."
see link below

The capital word is FREE, not sure how you got that wrong, unless you've seen a different ad.0 -
FREE*
* Subject to your insurance..
Normally won't affect your no claims
Doesn't guarantee you dont need to declare it. If you fail to declare it you
will be back here when your insurer cancel the policy for non disclosure.
Very CLEAR to me.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Very CLEAR to me.
Thanks for that,
very CLEAR to me also, FREE is in capitals, so we're both agreed. :T0 -
I got a repair kit for just over a tenner. Mixed results (can still see the damage) but at least there is some resin in the chip so hopefully it wont spread.0

The key word is the one before FREE.
Usually means yes, most insurers don't charge. If all didn't charge, the words would be ALWAYS FREE.
However, the word usually implies some don't give it free of charge.0 -

There is no such thing as free.0 -
Another thing is that you have to sign something from the windscreen repair company that says, if the screen breaks while they are doing it they are not liable.
I don't know if anyone's had that happen though.0
