Yes, ring, don't email or livechat.

Ring and grovel, ask if you can go through the sellers retraining guides (can't think what they call them now) but you follow a series of examples online and have to give the correct questions. Just tell them you will do anything to be given a chance to correct your mistakes.

And make sure you do, after all that, correct those mistakes.

  • Your husband could set up his own account if he used a different home address/bank account/telephone number/and email. Although his bank account address would need to be an address different than the one you used as well.

If it's coming from the same location or computer, eBay will be able to link two accounts.

Trying to get round the ban is futile as eBay do take notes and they will just end up banning the lot.

Different address for post/banking and a different internet provider.

Unless you have variable IP's. Im on O2 and you have to pay to have a static IP.

But ive been with them for about 4 years and its never changed.

  • I got barred from eBay in 2010 for the same thing! But in 2005 I made a back up account, same address, same ISP, same name. And they've not barred me yet! And then last year I did another back up account.

What bothered me most about being barred from selling with my original account, they had the cheek to send me a email which did not have my eBay ID on it, but someone else's who had worse feedback than I did, and yet, she was allowed to keep her account. I pointed it out to eBay but they wouldn't budge.

Also my sister has two accounts as well from the same house.

If your appeal doesn't work, google stealth account. But only if you have the discipline to do it properly.

Ebay have a habit, whether by design or by accident of waiting until a seller really needs that new account and then bans them.

We've had threads on here of people caught again years after losing the original account, and usually just as they have invested hundreds of pounds in stock. They will find you eventually and you'll need nerves of steel to risk spending a lot on building up any ebay business knowing that.

as for having 2 accounts, that is perfectly fine, many of us have lots. It only becomes a no no if you are banned on any one of them.
