I would be thankful to just get a reliable 3G signal from T-Mobile/Orange, and is one of the reasons why I am in the process of cancelling the last of 3 lines I had with them within our family.0

Can't move over, got my iPhone 5 last month with Orange and was told I could move to EE once it launched with no penalty. EE site backed this up so I took out the contract.
Now Orange are saying I can't move over for 6 months. I'm SO angry, I have a phone on a network with a signal so bad I can't organise my life any more and I have to deal with this for another 5 months. Appears I can't do anything about it either. Am gutted.Trying to remain free of unsecured debt and build up some savings.
Have done CeFA and CeMAP exams but no longer regulated.0 -
Everything Everywhere? More like too expensive in some places.0

If the signal is so bad, why on earth did you take out THREE contracts with them?
Simple really, these contracts date from before my family moved over to smartphones, which as you probably know are signal hungry little scamps, and next to useless if not given a good 3G signal to feed on!
Also, being in the process of moving these contracts to '3', I have witnessed first hand just how good the signal can be from an alternative provider. i know this wont necessarily be the case in all locations, but it certainly is from where I live.0 -
got to be aware of a tricky detail of 4G: different providers in different countries use different frequencies. EE uses 1800mhz. However UK should eventually be 2600mhz, as Europe is. US is 700 and 1700 and 1900 and 2100! Any one device will not be compatible with all these frequencies, but only to the frequency its radio is designed for. Also the larger the frequency the faster.
I don't know much more than this but hopefully the MSE community will get to the bottom of this!0 -
Higher the number, less indoor & signal penetration from transmitter. 800MHZ from analogue is the one they all want to buy, less backhaul costs via base station purchase/rentals & better coverage.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0

EE need to open up 4G to all customers in order to relieve capacity on 3G for those who don't have 4G phones. It is bad network management to prevent 4G phone users from using 4G. EE are putting profit ahead of quality of service for existing customers. Bad move, EE!0
