HELP! ebay seller sent me totally wrong item

There isn't an option to change the type of dispute. It just says that I already have a dispute open for that item!
But in the dispute I have already pointed out that I received a parcel with the matching tracking code and it did not have the phone, but just some speakers.
So should I close the old case and open a new one? Will Ebay even let me do that??
Thank you for all your help! I really appreciate it!0 -
If you close the case then you can not re open!
I think going thorough PayPal or eBay gives you different options (again, can't do with the other one as case already opened).
IF, I have to do a dispute I have gone via PayPal, seems pretty straight forward and take no time to go through. Others have said they have gone through eBay and it seems less straight forward and from what I have read you are not in as much control (Only quote this from what I have read).
If you have no option to change you will have to let the claim take it's course and see what PayPal/eBay have to say and who they side with.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
Maybe ring customer services to change it?
Because if the seller has tracking to show an item has been delivered to you, then the item not received case could be found in the sellers favour?0 -
Yea! I'm thinking of giving Ebay a call! Going through their help pages seems extremely futile.
I did try going through a Paypal dispute at first but they directed me to Ebay.
So is that all I can do then? Call Ebay and sit and wait?0 -
Does anyone know a number I can call? Ebay is extremely frustrating with their lack of wanting people to contact them!0

Only claimed a few times but each time I had no problems with raising a dispute, guess you just have to watch out for them trying to send you that way rather than claim via them and select to do it through PP.
Hope you get through to eBay and manage to get some joy.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -

I did some research and finally tracked down a UK telephone number for EBAY and PAYPAL.

Don't just leave it and don't close it. Phone them up and tell them you need to change it to a significally not as described case.0

Thank you!
I called them and got the case changed. They said the case is looking in my favour! Thank God.0 -
Although, it says on the case " If you don't hear back by 08 Nov, 2012, you can escalate this case to Customer Support."
But the customer service guy was adamant that even if the seller did reply, I could still escalate on the 9th.
Does anyone know if what he said was true?0
