Can anyone advise please? 3 contract and repair
Hi,
Dont know if anyone can advise me, i have htc on 3 contract (24mth) have had it 13 months and now cant charge it.
Took it into 3 they say we will send away but if its the battery will charge you £20, i am positive it wasnt the battery so went ahead.
Got a text today saying its not repairable under warentty (sp) and call them.
This i did and was told its going to cost £76.xx to repair, i asked why and was told caue of the bezzal? i didnt even know what this was, asked and told the corner of the case has a chip in it, yes i said but this happened approx 8 months ago and is nothing to do with the repair! well in a nutshell they wont fix the problem unless i have all this done!
Is there anything i can do?
Thanks

You can sue them under the SOGA, but after 6 months the onus lies on you to prove that it is a manufacturing fault, not a result of damage. If you repair it in some other place and get a report proving this, you can sue '3' for the cost of the repair plus all extras and possibly inconvenience.
Other way is to contact HTC that provide 24 month manufacturer's warranty. However, there is no guarantee that they won't use the same or some other excuse and try to charge you. In this case enforcing the warranty is far more difficult than enforcing SOGA.0 -
Thanks, like you say its proving it i suppose, so i guess i will have to pay :mad:Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0

Don't rush to pay. Contact HTC first.0
