CoolHotCold Thank you for your input.
Going through a search for Acer there are only two entries in the program files namely Acer - Orbicam which is a file folder and Acer Inc - Online Help and Acer GridVista

NiftyDigits Thanks for your input. I wonder if its something to do with the Programe being contained within the Media Center on the Aspire, that it needs to download this game.
Sorry for all the hastle caused.

I'm still failing to see the correlation between what you have written and the instructions contained within my link.
Can you tell me why you mentioned Windows Messenger? I can't see that in the instructions.0 -
NiftyDigits I followed the instructions, as follows
C:\WINDOWS\ehome\Gem Master.mcl
And it came up with Sorry the Page you were looking for cannot be found.
So i thought that I would open the Windows\ehome\Gem Master folders and then double click on Gem Master and that is when after a few seconds of a circular icon going around as though it was loading, the it came up with Messenger Failure Notice.

I see. Have read about the spinning icon, but not the connection to Windows Messenger.
Do you know how your other half uninstalled the game? Perhaps I can work out what is missing.
What size is the Gem Master file?0 -
NiftyDigits Thanks for your patience.
The size of the Gem Master file is 1.95MB
The good lady mistakenly uninstalled the file from the Control Panel/Add/Remove Program

Today I was removing some old programmes on my wife's Acer and noticed that the game that we thoughthad been removed was listed as
Gem Master Mystic 9.69MB with Change/remove under 1tab.
This programme is still not listed in the Media Centerprogramme menu under More Programmes, as it was previously.
Does anyone have any ideas how to bring this game upfor playing, remembering that when I did before, double click on the its folderit would not download only coming up with Messenger Failure.
Kind regards

What happens when you choose the Change/Remove option? Is there a repair option?
Have you considered asking Wild Tangent? I really have no experience with XP Media Centre, so I cannot even look at how it works.0 -

To be honest with you I was unsure as to press the tab just incase it vanished completely.
I think that I will give Wild Tangent a call and follow it through there. I just wondered if someone else had experienced the XP Media Centre before.
Kind regards

I pressed the Change/Remove tab and the listing vanished completely, checking in the ehome file I found that it was still there in the folder. Very Mystic i would ay.0 -
If you press the tab some options will come up. You can then decide to go ahead or to cancel. It doesn't just automatically remove it.0
