I did both. But that's all about your bank account, isn't it? What's it got to do with your address?

Sorry, I think we are (or I am :)) talking at cross purposes.

I did that to raise my sending limit. I didn't realise they were separate issues.

I thought it was just a general identification thing.

Yeah, I think you're talking about verification, the rest of us are talking about confirmed addresses :D

(That's the first time I've ever done a rolleyes at myself :D)
  • my ebay account (which I have had for afew years now) is ME and my address is confirmed,
    I did this by
1 adding my card details to paypal
2 adding my bank account details to comfirm my address,
then it says ME against my username on ebay
    cw

 the ME against your username in ebay is simply implying that you have a personal page setup to tell others alittle about yourself? that doesnt have anything to do with your address being confirmed?!

Funny... I got confirmed by paypal generating a 4 digit code for me, ringing me at home, then me punching the code into the phone.

This is how my address was confirmed aswell, the bank deposits are to become verified. Buyers don't have to be verified to have a confirmed address. You are elligible for seller protection when the address is confirmed nothing to do with verification. I posted to a buyer this morning who was unverified but their address was confirmed and it stated elligible for seller protection.
  • i remember receiving an automated phonecall from paypal, giving me some digits which i had to enter into a page on paypal, i'm sure that had something to do with confirmation of address too.
