I've lost my council tax form!

Which I know is very stupid. And obviously it's now coming to the end of the month so it needs paying. My question is this - if I get sent a reminder, will the reminder have all the details of my account, etc, on it, so I can use that to set up a direct debit?
I've never had one before so I'm not sure. I'm not bothered about getting one, I've tried to call the council but spent over half an hour on hold only to be cut off (charming).

You will have to either keep phoning them or call in at the local council offices/department (google for location)
I would not rely on receiving a reminder - you will probably receive an arrears letter instead! Get it sorted asap and set up that direct debit so that it is paid automatically.0 -
I have been paying by direct debit and getting online bills for many years now. I think I once got a reminded in red - it seems around 100 years ago!
Have you checked your council's website? You may be able to get some details from them. Have you got any old bills for the reference number?Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

The council website hasn't been much use unfortunately - I've sent them an email so hopefully I'll get a reply to that. I'm not sure I'd like to deal with getting an arrears letter!
The only reason I haven't set up a direct debit is because we recently moved in, and the council only just sent us the bill (and I've lost it already, for shame... I never lose anything).
Thanks for your replies though0 -
Send them a recorded delivery letter advising you've lost the first form, and requesting a replacement. Address it to the Council Tax Department at the council.0

Telephone them again? Go into the payment office without the form and give them your name and address? It is better not to wait for reminders, you can lose the right to pay by installments if one got lost in the post or you then forgot or were unwell.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

ring them up or go in person they will be able to find you. better to get it paid on time than risk missing it.0

Have you had a good look round the Council's website?
Can you pay online by debit card? Worth a look.It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Pop into the council offices. Take a cheque for this month (or debit card). Set up the DD at same time for next month.0
